Dr. Kimako “KiKi” Desvignes, DNP, MSN, RN, NE-BC, is a nurse leader, mentor, coach, speaker, and The Faith Nurse, with more than 28 years of nursing experience and over 15 years in nursing leadership.

Throughout her career, Dr. KiKi has had the privilege of mentoring, developing, and supporting nurses as they grow in confidence, strengthen their professional practice, discover their leadership potential, and become the nurses they were created to be. She understands that the transition from nursing student to registered nurse can be exciting, overwhelming, rewarding, and uncertain, sometimes all at the same time.

She created BECOMING RN™ Group Mentorship because new graduate nurses deserve more than orientation. They deserve a safe place to ask the questions they may be afraid to ask at work, talk through real experiences, receive guidance, learn from others, and be reminded that they do not have to navigate their first year alone.

As your mentor, Dr. KiKi will bring together practical nursing experience, leadership development, professional growth, encouragement, and faith to help you navigate your first year with greater confidence and purpose. Her goal is not to tell you exactly what kind of nurse to become, but to help you discover, develop, and confidently walk into the nurse God created you to be.

Dr. KiKi believes becoming a nurse is about more than passing the NCLEX, learning clinical skills, or making it through your first year. It is about developing your voice, trusting what you know, knowing when to ask for help, advocating for yourself and your patients, growing through difficult moments, and remaining connected to the purpose that brought you to nursing in the first place.
